Techniques For Overwhelmed Mindset to Do On Your Own:
Doing things that stimulate a deep feeling of joy and happiness within you:
Dancing - on your favorite songs like nobody’s watching (morning is best to start the day). Leave your stress at the door.
Singing - with all the strength of your lungs.
Meditate - at least 1x/day (2x is better; 3x/day is fabulous). Meditating is a must-do if you want to calm down. The usual sequence for practice is the morning-afternoon-before bed. Here are some techniques to try because one doesn’t fit all:
Classic - many are available online. You probably have practiced it at some point; if not, here’s a possible one to try.
Grounding - my favorites are from Jeffrey Allen. Once you practice them often, there is no need to be guided.
for a Higher-Mind connection - here is a possible one for you, or check with Jeffrey Allen again.
Connect with your Intuition - I love what Sonia Choquette offers on the topic (here is a possible one).
Practice some Yoga - at least every day. A classic technique with various forms to suit anyone’s liking (I prefer Kundalini Yoga - here’s a possible one to try).
Qi-Gong - at least every day. It may seem passive for the body, but it’s compelling to calm down (and more).
Do some Pilates - at least every day. This is a favorite of mine, soothing perfectly both pillars: physical and mental.
Swim in the ocean - perfect exercise for a healthy body; salted waters benefit your skin, and it’s a mega cleanser for any negative energy sticking around.
Swim - at your local community pool (or your own).
Practice some good old Aqua Gym at your local community pool (or your own)—a gentle technique inside the water but more powerful than doing it on the ground.
Take a Long Walk - outside for 30min or longer. You can walk inside your place too. Be creative!
Read a Book - comfortably seated, minimum disturbances. Pick a genre you love and dive into it for at least 1 hr/day. Or go crazy, and read for the whole day. Stimulating your brain’s cells is a must.
Cook whatever YOU love (or test a new recipe) once a week. Happy belly, happy soul!
Drawing or Sketching - can deeply calm down. Allow some me-time, at least 1 hr/day. Be creative or use a coloring book with some colored pencils or pastels.
Pick up some brushes and do some Painting - on your interior walls (if you wish) or on a canvas. A lot of techniques are available. Here are a few ideas:
Acrylics
Watercolor
Oil-based
Photography - can put you in a calm level of mind. It’s only you and whatever chosen subject or object. Smartphone or digital camera, your pick.
Cleaning your place - can do great if you are feeling overwhelmed. , don’t overdo it; go to others instead.
Travel - Start with your surroundings, and get bigger inside your own State/Province, then country. By bicycle, motorbike, car, train, boat, or plane.
Journaling - write down in a notebook your day; don’t keep anything inside overwhelming you.
Journal your daily Gratitude - an effective way to calm down your soul and spread some love.
Practice some Sport - the choice is yours; at least 1hr/day. Here are a few for inspiration:
Running
Swimming
Cycling
Paddleboarding

Climbing (indoor or outdoor)
Volunteering - give some of your time to your local community. The most potent way to forget about your hectic life is because you give with your heart. Today’s world calls for being present for each other and inclusive to be ONE again, all together.
Volunteering can change someone else’s life completely, and it makes you feel good about yourself. Here are a few suggestions:
At school or after school for homework.
At your local farms (so much to do).
Animal shelters are in desperate need of help.
At your local homeless shelters (for food, clothing distribution, or company).
Outdoor (so much trash is scattered around)
